Sorry for another picture-less post.. but our days have been crazy! We have been so busy trying to get everything together and ready to live hours away for 2-3 weeks... and trying to keep ourselves together while doing so. Today Bentley and I went shopping for a couple more things we need.. it was a hard shopping trip.. one that had many tears.. while Bryson and Brenna stayed home with daddy. Still no word on his blood type.

Today has been a rough day, but I know it will only get worse before it gets better.. we leave for good tomorrow.. we are going to watch Bryson's baseball game before we leave so we will not get there until late tomorrow night (Monday).

I am going to start twittering updates a lot more now.. so if you have twitter and want to keep updated you can find me @crystal525 or view them on the left side of this page. Someone will be posting here as well... either me, or a friend. I have a special post coming soon.. (I hope).

Thank you again for your continuous love, support, and prayers! It does help and we are SO grateful!

YAY Shelly! Email me your address when you get a chance.. I am going to have someone send you a few of Bentley's bracelets from the "WHERE YOU LIVE" post.

To answer a common question.. her surgery should last about 6 hours. This is going to be extremely hard!

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to email me.

  1. Still praying for you - and will gladly follow you on Twitter! When it gets especially hard in these next few days, try reading Psalm 139... it is such an encouragement and reminder that God is intimately involved in our lives.

  2. I will be praying continuously for you and watching on twitter.God Bless!

  3. You can do this!!! Just remember that God is 100% in control! Take plenty to do in the waiting room; I brought my computer and lots of snacks during Benjamin's OHS.

  4. If I could be there for those 6 hours - holding your hands and lifting Bentley and you in prayer - I totally would. And you'll have hundreds of people all over the US praying! Take your iPod, fill it with worship songs and your Bible to meditate on His word. It might help keeping your mind in a stable place.

  5. I have been in your shoes 3 times in my daughter's 2.5 short years on this earth. She also has ToF, but has MAPCA's (collateral arteries) Her repair was done in three stages over the course of about a year and a half.

I found your site through the ToF yahoo board. Know that we'll be praying for you... Feel free to stop by the blog I did for Nevaeh

  6. Thinking of you a bunch lately and praying that the Lord will give you peace and strength!

    Love ya!

  7. I love you so much sweetness!! See you in a little bit! Keep your head up! xoxo

  8. I will be praying for Bentley and for your family.

  9. We will be praying for safe travels for you all here to Houston. Please let me know if there is anything you need that we can help you with while you are here!!!

  10. Saying prayers for your family, especially during the days leading up to the surgery! Bentley will fly through this with flying colors. God is amazing!

  11. My heart aches for you, Crystal. I will be praying and checking for updates like any good stalker should :)

I had already posted a post this morning about praying for a friend with a "heart baby" and I just updated the post to add Bentley's cute photo and asked for Zachary's prayer warriers to be in prayer for Bentley tommorrow too! I hope it's okay that I used her picture.

    I will be praying...

  12. I'll be praying like crazy for sweet Bentley. God works in wonderful ways and Bentley is already one of his miracles....I believe all children are. Have safe travels. BTW-thank you so much for leaving that sweet comment on my blog, even when I know you have a million things going on.

  13. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!!!

  14. Sending warm thought's, continued prayer and lots of (((HUGS))) your way! Keep BELIEVING!! <3

  15. Thanks for your sweet comment, Crystal. I'm amazed that even with the best of medical technology, we can never know with complete certainty that our unborn children are completely healthy. We just have to place our trust in the Lord and His plan. (Can you tell that I'm trying to work on that?!)

By the way, I updated my post again to reflect the correct surgery day (sorry about that) and included a direct link to your blog.

You know, sometimes when I'm afraid or scared, it just helps when someone says to me... "It's going to be okay."

And I don't know if it will help or not, but I just wanted to tell you... "It's going to be okay." "SHE'S going to be okay!"

    Much love and many prayers...

  16. Thinking of you, and praying for you, sweetheart.

  17. Praying for you honey! It's going to be okay..honestly i can't imagine what you're going through having to put her into surgery but it's the best thing for her right now and in order to ensure you can spend many more years with your precious girl it's got to be done. I know you know that in your head but it's much more difficult in your heart! She's going to do great and everything is going to be fine...I'm thinking of you and Bentley and praying constantly! Hugs!!!!

  18. I will second Danielle's statement... but not only will Bentley be OK... she will be excellent and amazing. In two years from now you will leave your cardiologists office with her "released" and you will sigh realizing that all those months you TOLD yourself it will be ok... and now it finally is... that day WILL come for you! I promise!

    You have email... btw! :)
