That's right friends. I found out last night from a fellow heart mom that Shaun White the world famous (Olympic Gold Medalist) snowboarder was born with a heart condition. He was born with Tetralogy of Fallot.. the exact same heart condition Bentley was born with. He underwent 2 heart surgeries before his first birthday.
He is now a HUGE inspiration to us. We have always been big fans of his, he is extremely talented and blessed beyond measure with his snowboarding ability. Just from seeing him on TV, we can tell he is super laid back and just so fun. He is such a free spirit and we just love that about him. He competed last night in the 2010 Winter Olympics and took the GOLD. Now that we know of his heart condition, we fill connected in a sense. We know where he has been, we know where his parents have been. He is great encouragement for many. It just shows how strong these heart babies really are and what they can pull through. I know every one's heart journey is different but he is such great inspiration for us all!!!
